Description

Sometimes called the galaxy Messier missed, NGC2403 is about 10 million light-years away within the constellation Camelopardalis.

Processing this was quite the challenge, especially with the mediocre image quality from my Bortle-5 sky and meh seeing.

Description: Didn't like the blown-out stars in the original version. For this one the luminance channel is a combination of a histogram transform, masked stretch, and HDR. I used a mask to cover just the galaxy, created via StarNet and CloneStamp, to combine the histogram stretch on the galaxy with the masked stretch on the stars and background. Then I added in 50% of the HDR version of it.
